“Who Are Our Heroes?”The hero is known for achievements, the celebrity for well-knowness. The hero reveals the possibilities of human nature. The celebrity reveals the possibilities of the press and the media. Celebrities are people who make news, but heroes are people who make history. Time makes heroes but dissolves celebrities.

This quote was taken from an article Real Heros written by Dr. Dennis Denenberg in the “American Educator, Spring 2001 publication. The article compares the children of today’s focus on fantasy characters instead of real heroes.
